In Edinburgh’s Southside, Piccalilli is a neighbourhood haven with a relaxed, casual air.

Here, carefully hand picked wines share the stage with locally sourced beers and cider, alongside a thoughtful array of sherries, ports and spirits. The rhythm is unhurried, the welcome warm, and the table is set for grazing: bountiful boards of cheese and charcuterie sourced from local producers and East Coast Cured take centre stage.

Piccalilli’s food keeps pace with the pour. A well-curated cheese board with a selection of Scottish and international cheeses or meat boards with charcuterie from East Coast Curd arrives with pickles and fruit for salty-sweet counterpoint, ideal for sharing.

Seasonal touches appear in summer specials, from belhaven lemon and pepper hot smoked salmon dressed with dill mustard to pecorino, biologico brightened by strawberries and citrus fruits.

Slip in for a conversation and a graze, Piccalilli makes lingering irresistible and turns small plates into big smiles.
