First Table is thrilled to present Chez Mal at the stunning Malmaison Hotel. Something of a feast for all the senses, even the walls of this legendary hotel bar and brasserie are made of award-winning glass sculpture, making it a dining experience unlike any other.

Brought to you by the critically acclaimed team at Malmaison Edinburgh City, Chez Mal offers a dazzling, bustling chef’s table dining experience. Enjoy exclusive dining options such as the chef's table: a handcrafted wood banquet table stretching several metres. There's also two private dining alcove spaces, as well as Malmaison's famous main bar and brasserie; you've got mal dining of culinary grandeur. Even their plush seating is upholstered with the finest designer leather, just for good measure.

Start your meal with sharing platters like their grilled Brixham scallops. When it's time for the mains, choose from indulgent classics from seared tuna niçoise salad, lamb rump navarin, to chalk stream trout with black truffle butter.

Don't forget to save room for dessert because they're not holding back on the sweet stuff with signature sticky toffee pudding and chocolate molten soufflé; both hot favourites.

Chez Mal Edinburgh City boasts a slightly quieter location on the leafy Malmaison corner of the city centre, nestled between the chic streets of Leith and the Palace of Holyrood. Whether it’s a romantic dinner à deux, a family gathering or post-work feast with friends you’re after, this large bustling brasserie with a bar is the place to go.
