dinner

Bistro Coco brings a warm, family-run welcome to Broughton Street. With an easy bistro buzz and a keen eye for detail, it champions simple pleasures done well - good food, good company, and the kind of hospitality that turns first-timers into regulars.

The menu evolves with the seasons, guided by the very best produce available throughout the year. Classic French technique sits at the heart of the cooking, while Scotland’s natural larder shapes the character of each dish. A pork and pistachio terrine find brightness in apricot cardamom chutney and the comfort of brioche perdu. Local scallops arrive with a paper-thin potato tuille, red pepper Chantilly and a flicker of paprika, their crispy roe lending playful crunch.

Mains continue the theme of refined indulgence. Gressingham duck breast plays with orange and puff pastry, with chicory, tenderstem broccoli and a savoury gratons crumb for texture. Wild Scottish venison is treated with respect - confit shallot, pommes maxime and a glossy jus, finished with a green bean and bacon ragout that nods to rustic roots.

To finish, the chocolate royale layers hazelnut dacquoise, silken mousse and croquant with black cherries and a vivid coulis, while a café gourmand tempts the undecided. Perhaps linger a while longer as the evening unfolds. Book a table, settle in, and let Coco work its charm!
