Franco Manca Cardiff brings a touch of Italian ease to the heart of the city, where sourdough pizza takes centre stage and simple, well-chosen flavours shine. Aperitivo sets the tone, with an Aperol Spritz in hand and a bowl of mixed olives with baby plums and semi-dried tomatoes to start.

Pizzas lead the way, from the classic Margherita, celebrating tomato and buffalo mozzarella, to prosciutto and funghi, where roasted ham meets mushrooms for a savoury, comforting bite. Warm pizza bread and garlic bread invite tearing and sharing, while dips of basil pesto or Scotch bonnet chilli add subtle lift.

Salads add freshness, from artichoke and butternut squash with grains to a classic Caprese. Desserts offer indulgent finales, from affogato to a playful Nutella pizza with crushed Biscoff. Italian wines, spritzes and Negronis complete the table.

Relaxed and welcoming, it is a place to linger, savour each slice, and let the sourdough guide the evening.
