A Pin of Salt brings the warmth, passion and flavour of traditional Italian cooking to Cardiff Central.

The kitchen is devoted to authenticity, from rich, slow‑simmered sauces to handmade pasta crafted daily. It is the sort of place where quality ingredients and time‑honoured recipes do the talking, and where dessert is treated as an indulgence worth lingering over.

The menu charts a familiar yet irresistible course through Italy’s coastal and countryside comforts. Think calamari fritti alongside a soothing zuppa del giorno or the flame‑kissed satisfaction of costata di manzo alla griglia with crisp chips.

Pasta here lean bright, zesty, and flavourful with ravioli caprese filled with creamy mozzarella, ricotta, and basil tossed in a light tomato sauce, while risotto allo scoglio serves mixed seafood in a ragu sauce.

The mood is unhurried and welcoming, inviting guests to settle in, share plates, and savour the simple joy of well‑cooked food. Whether it is a midweek supper or a leisurely weekend, this is Italian dining done with care and heart.

Gather your favourite people and book a table. Let Italy come to you in Cardiff Central, one delicious forkful at a time. Buon appetito, with just A Pin of Salt.
