In Redland, MEY·ZE shines a light on the vibrant, often unsung world of Turkish meze.

The vision is guided by founder Ece Seval, who grew up in Turkey with meze at the heart of every table. After training in bakery and opening a bakery in Bristol, she returns to the flavours that shaped her childhood, presenting them with a fresh, modern touch that respects tradition while feeling distinctly contemporary.

Here, small plates carry big personality: Mediterranean freshness meets the warmth of Eastern spices and herbs, inviting diners to graze, share and linger. Expect cool, creamy notes with a lively heat from the spicy ezme of peppers and tomato to the haydari that folks yoghurt with Turkish white cheese, herbs, and garlic.

From the hotplates, try Ottoman-style aubergine filled with tomato and lifted by mint, or a prawn casserole in rich tomato sauce with mozzarella and white cheese. To finish, grab a plate of şekerpare, a soft semolina sweet in syrup, or a neat affogato.
