The Maris and Otter brings a freshly polished shine to Western Road, Hove, as a Harvey’s Brewery taproom with a proud local heart. Newly refurbished and formerly The Revelator, it offers a welcoming atmosphere where the first order’s effortless and the second arrives before you knew you wanted it.

In the kitchen, familiar pub comforts are given a knowing wink. Burgers come stacked and satisfying, from Monterey Jack-laced classics to a brie number lifted by onions and truffle mayo. Small plates lean playful - golden-fried pelmeni bring a crisp bite, while lasagna mozzarella sticks tuck into creamy spinach alfredo and bolognese. Fries are tossed with rosemary and sea salt, and apple pie bites with vanilla ice cream round things off on a warmly nostalgic note.
