In the heart of Hove, Hixon Green blends New York polish with modern British sensibilities to create an all-day destination that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. Seasonality and Sussex sourcing sit at the core, with creative chefs shaping a menu that is as diverse as it is considered, from morning coffee through to late-night cocktails.

Brunch has a distinctly modern British accent — think Oreo and Nutella French toast layered with mascarpone and berry compote, or Mediterranean eggs with black olives and herbed labneh on warm naan. As day turns to evening, the kitchen shifts gear with dishes that nod to global influence: Japanese beef alongside garlic and chili king prawns, eastern linguini and crab risotto, crisp Greek feta and classic Caesar, through to rump steak and sea bass cooked with quiet confidence. There is breadth for all tastes, including vibrant plant-led plates and fresh local meat and seafood.

A stylish loft lounge presides over a relaxed main dining room, setting the tone for everything from solitary escapes with a glass of Sussex wine to sociable suppers fuelled by signature cocktails. It is the sort of place that flexes effortlessly for casual catch-ups and private celebrations alike. Make a date, follow the clink of ice and the hum of conversation, and let Hove meet New York in delicious harmony.
