Bodega has been part of Christchurch since 2016, now beautifully refreshed with an authentic Spanish tapas menu. Its warm ambient glow sets a welcoming tone, featuring an open kitchen that allows guests to hear the pans, catch the aromas mid-flight, and glimpse the dishes as they are prepared.

The cooking speaks the true language of Spanish tapas - small plates for sharing, generous in spirit, and big on character. Dig into the txistorra, a flavourful Spanish garlic sausage with paprika, cooked in a rich heather honey reduction. Another excellent choice to satisfy cravings is the albondigas - traditional beef and pork meatballs simmered in a savoury tomato and garlic sauce.

You also won't want to miss the butifarra and romesco, a seasoned pork sausage paired with a roasted tomato, garlic, and hazelnut sauce. For seafood lovers, the pil pil prawns offer peeled Atlantic prawns swimming in a vibrant garlic, parsley, and chilli oil. It's the perfect destination for a light lunch or a celebratory dinner getaway.

Bodega Christchurch is the kind of venue that naturally invites conversation, where bold, sunny flavours meet a relaxed dining pace, and the pleasure lies in letting a few plates become many. Pull up a stool, watch the kitchen at work, and enjoy a wonderfully memorable meal out!
