In the heart of Charminster, KOYA Grill - Tapas - Bar brings a welcoming wash of hospitality to Bournemouth.

Rooted in Greek and British traditions, it champions family recipes and the elemental magic of charcoal, letting fresh ingredients meet flame for that unmistakable, smoke-kissed finish. It's food that feels generous and time-honoured, guided by memory as much as by method.

The rhythm here centres on sharing. Mezze and tapas drift to the table in a lively procession, encouraging a little taste of this and a nibble of that. Expect bright, savoury flavours, herb-led and subtly spiced, balanced by smoky depth from the grill. It's a style made for conversation: plates passed around, stories swapped between bites, and a lingering sense of occasion.

Across the menu, vibrant small plates sit alongside hearty mains straight off the coals. Highlights include tender lamb kofte, slow-cooked beef short rib, and pan-fried seabass, complemented by tapas like Korean chicken bites, Greek spring rolls, and sides of loaded fries or crunchy house slaw.

KOYA's easygoing buzz makes it as fitting for a spirited catch-up as for a cosy date night, with the dining room's hum adding to the mood. Come for the charcoal theatre and stay for the warmth of the welcome. Reserve a spot, gather your favourites, and let the plates keep coming - because at KOYA, the joy's in sharing and the grill's the guest of honour!
