Tokyo Toro Japanese Restaurant brings a bright taste of Japan to Rugeley.

The kitchen leans into clean, umami-rich cooking, from pristine sushi to crisp, golden katsu, all prepared with an eye for balance and freshness. It's a menu that moves with the seasons of appetite - light, bright, then deeply comforting.

Begin with something simple and satisfying - salted edamame for a briny snap or takoyaki, those fluffy, sauce-brushed octopus morsels. From there, the choice widens to wok-tossed noodles and rice, such as yaki soba or Toro’s special fried rice, and bowls that speak in colours and crunch: salmon and tuna poke layered with cucumber and avocado, or bibimbap stirred through with gochujang heat.

Broths arrive steaming - whether seafood ramen or a tori karaage ramen - while donburi and chicken katsu curry deliver that moreish, homely hug. Sushi and uramaki add precision and freshness to the spread.

It's the kind of place that suits a quick bite or a leisurely catch-up, with flavours that travel well across the table. Book a spot, bring an appetite, and let the good times roll!
