In the heart of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, 2Taps Winebar has been gathering families, friends, and kindred spirits for two decades.

Cosy nooks and the glow of a heated terrace set the scene, keeping the holiday spirit alive even when the skies turn grey. It is lively yet laid-back, the sort of place where conversation rolls as easily as the wine is poured.

The kitchen leans into the art of sharing, drawing on Spanish tapas traditions with sunny Mediterranean accents. Think bowls of warm bread arrive with tapenade and aioli. Then come the plates to pass around: chargrilled steak brightened with salsa verde, slow-cooked harissa lamb tagine with spiced yogurt and soft flatbread, seared sea bass lifted by preserved lemon and pearl couscous, and crispy squid with a lick of mojo rojo.

Crowd-pleasers like Manchego croquetas and halloumi fries drizzled with truffle honey add comfort, while paella de carne and paella de marisco summon that long-lunch feeling.

Warm, family- and dog-friendly service completes the welcome, whether one tucks into a banquette inside or lingers outdoors, coat off and shoulders down. Gather your favourite people, raise a glass, and settle in at 2Taps Winebar: where good times are made for sharing, one tapa at a time.
