Seaside luxury at its finest, The Salthouse Hotel prides itself in providing a chic destination in which to leave the city life behind and embrace the free-spiritedness of the sea.

The hotel itself is an escapist's dream and so is its restaurant, The Lookout. The reason for its name is due to the jawdropping views that can be soaked up from anywhere in the venue. Uninterrupted vistas of the Atlantic Ocean await within a classy restaurant that revels in Art Deco era aesthetics that shimmer and shine with beautiful chandeliers, dinky lamps and impressive table settings that place you in the Orient Express itself.

You might be looking over one of the most iconic Irish landscapes, but the menu is rewarding diners with Italian eats that speak of far sunnier climes. Stone baked pizzas form the backbone of the menu with traditional roma, salami, veggie and the signature Island Breeze making for a delicious range of options. You can even design your own pizza if you feel like it needs a personal touch.

Then we have staples from the family dinner table that include spaghetti carbonara, lasagne and a gorgeous ratatouille. And if you've had enough of Italian already, there are some gourmet burgers for the taking. After an evening at The Lookout, the future sure looks bright.
