In the heart of historic Tombland, Zizzi Norwich brings a lively taste of Italy to one of the city’s most characterful corners. Set in a beautiful historic building beside Norwich Cathedral, it blends original charm with a warm, contemporary feel. Cosy indoor spaces make it ideal for intimate dinners and family catch-ups, while two al fresco areas are perfect for people-watching, sunny lunches and lingering over good food.

Start with aperitivo-style nibbles, from crisp pasta crisps with smoky Calabrese dip to golden calamari and generous cheese-filled sharing boards. For something lighter to kick off the meal, fresh chicken Caesar and zucca salads offer plenty of vibrant Italian flavour.

When it’s time for the main event, hand-stretched Rustica pizzas range from the classic Margherita to spicy pepperoni Campagna, while folded calzones like the fiery carne piccante and chicken-packed pollo spinaci bring hearty comfort. Pasta lovers can settle into rich truffle carbonara or fresh, briny seafood vongole, alongside silky funghi risotto and standout signatures like slow-cooked hot honey-glazed duck.

Save room for dessert, with warm gooey chocolate chip cookie dough or a bright raspberry Collins cheesecake rounding things off beautifully. Round off the evening with a refreshing spritz, a fruity mocktail or a glass of chilled Italian wine. With vegan and non-gluten options available across the menu, there’s plenty for everyone at the table.

Whether you’re settling into a cosy corner or enjoying the fresh air outside, Zizzi Norwich is made for relaxed Italian dining in a truly memorable part of the city. Pull up a chair, share a few plates and make an evening of it in Tombland.
