In the heart of Marple, the regulars at All Things Nice drop in for something simple and well-made, the sort of fare that favours quality ingredients and a gentle touch.

As evening falls, the ovens turn to sourdough pizza, hand-stretched from a 10-year-old starter, naturally fermented for 24 hours and made with the finest Italian flour. Toppings keep things bright and fresh, from a classic margherita with fresh basil to a buffalo chicken number with shaved celery and a tangy kick, all geared toward easy sharing and a relaxed night out.

Grazing begins with crisp panko chicken strips or a generous salumi board layered with cured meats, soft mozzarella, montagnolo, deep-fried dough sticks and roasted Mediterranean vegetables. Sweet moments follow in cosy fashion: perhaps sticky toffee pudding with warm caramel and cream gelato, or a nostalgic knickerbocker glory crowned with Belgian chocolate, chantilly cream and a glacé cherry.

Rooted in community and local flavour, this bustling spot balances comfort with craft, whatever the hour. Book soon, bring good company, and let All Things Nice do exactly what it says on the tin.
