Cuisine: A La Carte, American Italian, Mediterranean
Price Point: Mains from £15-£30

Chucs, a world of finery and elegance, has opened its doors in Notting Hill.

With restaurants in some of the most dazzling locations in London, each branch has its own distinct personality. Over in Westbourne Grove, its décor harks back to sharp, manicured, 1950s glamour. The predominantly blue and white interior feels bright and polished and the countless mirrors and tiny table lamps might trick you into thinking you’re in a luxury carriage on the Orient Express.

In true Chucs style, their exquisite Italian dishes are always served with finesse. Start by warming up the stomach with some of their finest antipasti, like their tuna tartar or refreshing beetroot salad. To follow, only hand-made pasta will do; simply drizzled with truffle oil makes it a delectable mouthful. If you don’t fancy pasta or pizza, choose from classics like a tender sirloin steak or a delicate sea bass.

Of course, the wine list is akin to a religious text, so make sure to treat it with respect. Sourced from Italy and France, each one is carefully chosen to compliment the delicate flavours of each dish. Ranging from £36 to over £600 a bottle, quality is only a sip away.

Join the likes of Gwenyth Paltrow and escape to the world of glamour that is Chucs.

Amazing evening at Chucs Westbourne Grove. The food was great and they were very accommodating when we wanted to change orders. Our waitress Julia was so attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant was beautiful, I definitely want to go back to try more of the menu.

Lovely little Italian neighbourhood spot. Restaurant is bright and airy, with a warm and buzzy atmosphere. Loved the nautical themed decor. The staff were attentive and very friendly, couldn't have asked for better service.

Great little savoury nibbles served before the starters. Had the tuna and octopus to start - both delicious and fresh. The seabass main was also beautifully cooked and I loved the caponata.

Must make space for desert if you come here - the tiramisu and the creme brulee are to die for!

Lovely dinner at Chuc’s. Service was attentive, and the decor was surprisingly delightful. My partner and I shared the Cacio e Pepe and the truffle pizza — both were so flavorful and nice after a long day! The neighbourhood was nice to walk in afterwards.

Hilla Bar

Mixed feelings about this place as some of the food we had, namely the Tuna Tartar, Truffle Pasta and Calamari was very good and on the other hand the steak and Pizza were very disappointing. If I would go there again knowing what to order it would be a nice meal but as it was I would say it's hit and miss. The setting is very nice and the cocktails were well made.

We had such a good time at Chucs! Our waitress was so charming and helpful and recommended some amazing dishes. The food quality was out of his world and I would definitely come back. The only minus is a pretty high service charge and a base charge (£2 per person) which raised the total bill unexpectedly.

I would still recommend this restaurant to anyone!
