In Peckham Rye, you’ll find a homage to Ho Chi Minh City. Banh Banh serves up a contemporary take on vibrant Vietnamese street food, inspired by the founder’s grandmother. Whether you’re refuelling or planning a friendly feast, leave your coats at the door and dive in.

Kickstart your visit with small plates such as black sesame rice crackers and hot papaya salad with prawns. Or save room and go straight for one of their big, bountiful bowls including beef brisket in a delicious broth. The dishes come out when they’re ready, so you’ll enjoy leisurely sharing this taste of Vietnam with your buddies.

Their star main course is a dish served daily in Vietnam. Homemade pho might seem simple, but wait until you try Banh Banh’s rich, long-simmered broth. Choose the classic chicken or beef variety and add fresh herbs from the table as you please. Vegetarians can opt for the tofu and mushroom base.

Plenty of authentic rice dishes are up for grabs such as sizzling com tam or crumby, crispy sesame rolls. The bun noodle salads are a thing of beauty too, with brisket, prawn or vegan topping the menu. Immerse yourself in Vietnamese culture just south at Banh Banh Peckham. Pull up one of the restaurant’s chairs and dig into a street food experience like no other.
