Cuisine: A La Carte, Italian
Price Point: Mains from £10-£30
Looking for authentic Italian food in a central London setting? Step forward Mercante, the all-day restaurant in the Sheraton Grand Hotel on Park Lane.
Chef Davide D’ignazio honed his craft in Michelin-starred kitchens throughout Rome and he has an incredible eye for detail and flair for presentation.
The monthly-changing menu will take you on a tour of Italy’s 20 regions via the bustling markets of Rome, Venice and Napoli.
Start with a selection of small plates such as mushroom and parmesan arancini or creamy burrata with heirloom tomatoes. Mains include hearty meat dishes and flavoursome pastas. Slow cooked fettuccine bolognese is a must!
Feeling thirsty? Start with a small but beautifully-formed selection of classic cocktails, before discovering your new favourite Italian wine. The terrace faces south and is lovely for lunch.
