Backed by Beyoncé and named one of the Top 100 Local Restaurants in the UK, Chuku’s is the world’s first Nigerian tapas restaurant where you come to chop, chat, chill.

Founded by siblings Emeka and Ifeyinwa Frederick, it’s become a London favourite for mid-week dinners, catch-ups and laid-back date nights that always hit the spot. Just 15 minutes from Central London, this intimate spot brings a slice of Lagos to London — serving up bold Nigerian flavours and big vibes courtesy of the Afrobeats on the speakers and Nigerian-inspired art on the walls.

With a menu made for sharing, Chuku’s is the perfect social dining spot. Expect dishes that blend heritage and creativity, like smoky jollof rice, the Time Out-loved egusi bowl, and the famed gluten-free, vegan fried plantain tossed in cinnamon and coconut.

From the mains section, try a plate of baked beef meatballs with Nigerian suya, or the banga prawns: pan-fried, tossed in a mild, rich palm fruit stew. Don't forget the vegan, gluten-free yam brownie or the orange and stem ginger cheesecake on a crunchy cardamom and chin chin base.

Whether you’re tucking in after work or sharing vibrant plates with friends, you’ll find the warmth, rhythm and flavour that keep guests coming back week after week. Come travel with Chuku’s to Nigeria: no passport needed.
