On Gloucester Avenue in Primrose Hill, The Wet Fish Cafe Primrose Hill is a cosy neighbourhood spot with an easygoing spirit. An offshoot of the long-established Wet Fish in West Hampstead, it brings the same informal, welcoming atmosphere to North London, pairing an intimate setting with a laid-back rhythm from morning to night.

The kitchen leans into fresh ingredients and straightforward cooking, with wild Cornish fish at its heart. Expect a relaxed mix of fish and seafood alongside brunch favourites, meat and vegetarian options, and pizza. Weekends invite unhurried starts with classics such as French toast and bubble and squeak, while later services shift effortlessly towards comforting plates that let quality produce do the talking.

It is the kind of place made for lingering: a pleasant spot for a leisurely brunch, lunch or relaxed dinner, where the neighbourhood pace meets quietly confident cooking. Settle in, savour something fresh, and let Primrose Hill do the rest.
