Just a stone's throw away from Holloway Road lies a Mediterranean haven, a hidden gem in the midst of Islington: The Resto.

With its vibrant, lively atmosphere, warming décor, and meticulously crafted menu, it perfectly captures the essence of its Hellenistic ideals.

Unwrapping the menu, the waitstaff evoke a sense of curiosity with their first offering: delicately sautéed spinach with sweet caramelised onions, covered in creamy ricotta, and finished with a dusting of parmesan. Their fava dell’Egeo, a dill-infused yellow lentil mousse, goes a long way toward transporting you and your friends to the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean.

They offer an array of small, world-renowned dishes, such as the tried and tested insalata egea, where heirloom tomatoes, pickled red onion, Kalamata olives, and aged Aegean Tulum cheese elegantly marry, finished with cold-pressed olive oil. The menu then segues into piping-hot Neapolitan pizzas, from the classic margherita to the fiery diavola with spianata salami.

The Resto is an idyllic destination and a social treasure; a true fusion of ages and cuisines.
