On Upper Street, in the heart of Islington’s bustling area, Thai Square Islington offers a stylish welcome, characterised by elegant Thai décor, warm lighting, and pockets of botanical calm. Spread across two floors with a striking live wall, it feels like an urban oasis only moments from the Angel shopping throng.

The kitchen leans into the classic Thai repertoire, offering fragrant curries, lively stir-fries, a signature pad thai and spicy salads. A tom yum sea bass brings citrus brightness with lime and bird’s eye chillies, while som tum keeps things crisp and refreshing.

Richer moments follow with tamarind duck and weeping tiger sirloin, balanced by steamed sea bass scented with lemongrass and lime leaves. There are crowd-pleasers too, such as caramel chicken with cashews, hangover beef elevated with fish sauce and lime, khao soi with egg noodles in a coconut broth, and jumbo prawns coated in a reduced curry sauce and coconut cream.

Thai Square Islington blends polished service with the easy charm of a neighbourhood favourite. Guests can settle beneath the greenery and enjoy a moment of Thai sunshine in the middle of North London, spice, snap and all.
