UBA brings a vibrant Pan-Asian pulse to East London, channelling the energy of Shoreditch into a polished, sensory escape. Designed by Verhaal, the room glows with auspicious red and gold, velvet banquettes and decorative Asian ceramics, striking a note of inclusive luxury. It is playful yet poised, a place where contemporary Asian dining is told through texture, colour and craft.

In the kitchen, street food spirit meets modern finesse. A bite might drift from rock shrimp tempura dusted with salt and pepper and lifted by kimchi mayo, to edamame tossed with spicy chilli garlic or yuzu sesame. Dim sum makes its case with prawn har gow accented by AO Nori and prawn and chicken siu mai sweetened by chilli jam, while hirata buns and ceviche tacos add contrast and verve.

Sushi favours clean lines and bold touches, from seared salmon belly maki with asparagus and chipotle mayo to crispy chilli tuna maki. From the robata, salmon belly teriyaki meets a Zuma herbs salad and ponzu oil, while a yakiniku glazed beef ribeye arrives with watercress and wasabi furikake. Sides and finales keep pace, whether tenderstem broccoli with satsuma miso and crispy shallots, or a passion fruit crème brûlée and a vanilla cheesecake crowned with mango chilli salsa, all alongside innovative cocktails.
