Sariyer Balik brings the easy pleasures of Turkish seafood to North London.

With a name that nods to fish, it favours clean flavours and honest cooking, where the freshness of the catch takes centre stage. Plates arrive in a gentle progression designed for sharing and lingering, a rhythm that suits both impromptu meet-ups and unhurried suppers.

Begin with classic meze, from silky hummus and neat parcels of dolma to seafood-led small plates like smoked mackerel and a bright seafood salad.

Heat follows: butter cooked prawns and crisp fried mussels pave the way for simply prepared fillets of sea bass, halibut or salmon, joined by grilled prawns and anchovies. It is a kitchen that prefers clarity over fuss, letting the sea speak for itself.

As for the mains, try chargrilled seabass and sea bream on the bone or savoury anchovies simmered in butter. Don't forget a side of rocket salad in olive oil and lemon, or a refreshing feta cheese salad.

Gather friends, share a spread, and let time slow to a tide’s pace. Book a table and follow your appetite where it leads.
