Year-round alfresco dining starts at The Gardens at Barge East. Nature lovers unite for supper under the stars or tucked away in a cosy greenhouse or cabin. And yes, they're open in winter too!

Where you can stretch out like a cat in the sun during the summer months or hunker down under a heater, wrapped up in a blanket (hot water bottles provided) in winter, The Gardens at Barge East are not ones to shy away from temperamental British weather. That's why they've set up warm little cabins and greenhouses so you can still enjoy that outdoor dining experience even in the icy grip of January.

What's more, when eating at The Gardens at Barge East, you can guarantee that you're eating sustainably. With their own canal-side gardens and biodynamic policies in full swing, seasonal and local crops rule the roost and ultimately decide what you get for your dinner. Right now, the menu is serving up comforting realness in the form of crispy buttermilk chicken burgers with locally grown salad, braised beef burgers with heaps of sriracha mayo and pickles, and BBQ mushrooms that are nestled within a brioche bun for a delicious meat-free alternative.

Don't forget to load it up with some sides too and elevate your burger with some chickpea fries, glazed chicken wings or fried artichoke. Then, once the plates are cleared, order another round of beers and enjoy The Gardens at Barge East as it's meant to be: low and slow.
