In the pulsating heart of London, Bahara opens a gateway into India. Gloriously alive in its flavours and fervour.

The walls are decked in celebration, setting the stage for an incredible culinary experience. Each plate is a feast of wonder for both first-time explorers and those seeking a nostalgic taste of home. Step in, take a seat and get ready to be transported to a land where spice meets soul.

From aromatic fragrances to mouth-watering spices, Bahara's menu packs a punch. Start the feast with a basket of their infamous spiced poppadoms, broken and shared amongst friends. Served with sweet mango chutney and cooling mint yoghurt, they’re the perfect accompaniment to Bahara's moreish onion bhajis.

Next up are the mains. Dive straight into the vegetarian delights, and uncover paneer butter masala, a rich tomato and cashew sauce dish. Move onto the chhole masala featuring chickpeas cooked in a rich spiced tomato curry. A classic favourite is the butter chicken with tender chicken simmered in a creamy curry sauce. Alternatively, tuck into the tandoori chicken with soft, steaming rice.

However, you fancy serving your main, make sure you gorge on the sides. Bahara offers a simple green salad and classic, refreshing cucumber yogurt raita that complement their mains perfectly. With pilau rice and garlic naan to boot, you’ll certainly be spoilt for choice.

And when your meal is over, or if you need a little break for movement, be sure to explore the dazzling rä, sea hotspots that London has to offer (you're only a pebble's throw away). From the sparkling Shard to the peaceful Thames, Docklands is a beauty not to be missed.

Providing a hark back to the dishes that made the subcontinent sizzle, Bahara might be small, but they certainly pack a powerful punch.
