In the theatre-lit hum of Leicester Square, Sagar sets a calm table for Udupi-inspired South Indian vegetarian cooking. This London outpost stays true to its ethos: warm hospitality, balanced spicing, and a family-friendly welcome.

Plates trace a gentle arc from the classic street-snack traditions of the South to the bustle of Bombay Chowpati. Street-side favourites like pani puri and dahi puri bring crunch and tang, while idli vada comforts and paneer 65 and gobi Manchurian add a playful, Indo-Chinese wink.

Dosas arrive paper-thin and perfumed, ready to be torn and dipped - thalis gather rice, rasam, sambar, yoghurt, and vegetables in harmonious company. From chana masala and saag paneer to tomato-dotted uthappam and fragrant vegetable biriyani, the dishes are vibrant yet measured, with options thoughtfully prepared without onion or garlic for those who prefer it.

Freshly puffed poori and flaky paratha mop up every last drop - masala tea and Mysore coffee write the final, aromatic line.

Whether for a swift pre-show bite or an unhurried supper, the room is easygoing, inviting, and just a step from the lights of the West End. Book a table, share a dosa, and let Leicester Square find its softer side, one crisp edge at a time!
