Imagine a restaurant that genuinely has it all. Bold flavours, unique experiences and some pretty special twists on classics. Welcome to Chez Mal - where dining is all about enjoyment and indulgence. Time to make some memories!

Nominated for Best Hotel Restaurant in Leeds at the Oliver Awards 2019, the vibe here is truly remarkable. Housed in the iconic Malmaison hotel, it blends a soothing brasserie style with a little French panache. Enjoy a vibrant, bohemian atmosphere and kick back with friends and family. There's nothing quite like the feeling of a fizzing urban vibe that’s all here in this bustling city eatery.
Chez Mal honours the traditions of British cooking, but occasionally adds that little bit of je ne sais quoi. Using contemporary cooking techniques and the freshest local ingredients, from our table to yours… we hope you love it. Meat is at the heart of our menu, something you'll find hard to resist. Grill and spit roast & smoke combine cooking styles to create daring flavours for a most irresistible dining experience. Can't you just taste the smoky deliciousness already?

Open up your culinary repertoire and immerse yourself in our varying and tempting drinks selection. Nothing complements these gastronomic delights more than a well-rounded cocktail along with your meal. From the beauty and bittersweet taste of the classic Aperol spritz to a spontaneous creation of your choice, you can rest easy for your drinks at Chez Mal are taken care of.
