In the vibrant heart of Leeds City Centre, a short stroll from the station, Chaophraya Leeds offers a serene escape from the city’s bustle. Led by owner Kim, the team of expert chefs brings classic Thai cooking together with distinct signature plates, balancing freshness and finesse in equal measure.

The menu roams Thailand’s regions in spirit, from the comforting warmth of khao soi gai to the gentle richness of gaeng massaman and the creamy allure of gaeng panaeng. Bright, zesty notes abound in som tum and yum ped grob, while tom yum and tom kha deliver that unmistakable interplay of lemongrass, lime and heat. Fragrance, colour and texture are the guiding stars.

Wok-fired favourites keep things lively, whether it is pad kra pao or the basil-lifted khao pad ka prao, while small plates such as chicken satay with peanut sauce set the tone for sharing. At lunchtime, a faithful pad thai and a verdant green curry beckon, and to finish, mango sticky rice brings sweetness in soft, coconut-warmed spoonfuls. A considered list of cocktails, wines and beers rounds out the experience, with thoughtful options for different dietary preferences.

Whether a quick lunch or an unhurried dinner, Chaophraya Leeds invites guests to pause, savour and linger. Book in, bring an appetite, and let the spice do the talking.
