Located in what used to be the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama, Chaophraya Restaurant enjoys a jaw-dropping location and serves mouthwatering food to match.

Step into the lobby and you've swept away to a far-off palace in the rural mountains of Thailand. Incredible gold statues adorn this fine restaurant, chandeliers twinkle above luxuriously cushioned booths, ceilings stretch for as far as the eye can see and vintage bottles shimmer from mirrored shelves.

Take a nosedive into authentic Thai cooking with their sensual mains that strike all the right chords. Nothing beats a chicken, prawn or tofu pad thai, especially when it uses a secret recipe (yes really!) If you fancy trying something new, you will unlikely find the chicken, beef and mushroom, spicy riceberry and basil anywhere else. There are sumptuous curries on offer too. All the classics like beef Panang, green and red curries feature as well as the exotic jungle curry, made with hints of bamboo, papaya and green beans.

Venture further into the Thai cuisine with a sublime meat dish. Nothing says drama like the weeping tiger sirloin seak or duck tamarind! And while authenticity is at the heart of this menu, their Thai re-imagined section is daring, bold and delicious. Guaranteed you will leave this restaurant having tried something new. Chicken boxing, anyone?
