Welcome to La Garrigue, which has been bringing authentic French food and wine to Edinburgh since 2001.
Chef owner Jean Michel Gauffre draws on his childhood memories of growing up in the Languedoc region of central France to offer rustic family style cooking in a setting that is a cross between an up market restaurant and cosy bistro.
Enjoy classic Gallic flavours such as foie gras, Roquefort souffle and hearty duck and bean casserole, as well as a selection of market fresh seafood and decadent meats. Traditional fish soup scattered with croutons is as warming as it is flavoursome, while chicken served with black pudding croquette is a must for carnivores.
Naturally the wine list is superb. Sip your way around the Languedoc and don’t miss the chance to try therare Mas de Daumas Gassac wines which are exclusively available at La Garrigue.
There’s more to this restaurant than great food and warm service… It also has that little bit of "Je ne sais quoi" that elevates a meal to something special. Located a few minutes walk from Royal Mile and Waverley Train Station.
