Had a really amazing meal here. We ate like kings and queens.

Really authentic flavours, in the gobi dish especially. The bhaji's were really delicious and so was the small plate with potato which had an incredible tamarind sauce throughout. I didn't have the dhal this time round but last time I ate here, it was banging!
I was dying to try the calamari and was disappointed when the lady said they didn't have that or the other fish dish available. There were a couple other dishes off the menu also but it's cool, that's what to expect on a Sunday evening.
The only criticism I have is about the bread. It was quite a small portion size and not the best Indian bread I've had. I had to really think hard for a criticism though, everything else was really tasty.

Despite it being bitterly cold and like a ghost town outside, the atmosphere was cosy and buzzy. Being the only place open around Wapping Wharf on a Sunday evening meant there was a good vibe in the restaurant.
Friendly staff, great smells and awesome food. Loved it!
Thanks so much guys

Dine early and save money! Great idea... if you want Indian street food tapas... this is a great place to come... (we had lots of starters) but they do have mains.... Great little place with a nice atmosphere.

Sholay is a lovey treat for anyone who fancies something a bit different from the regular ‘Indian Curry’ experience. The restaurant is small but suits their street food style. I love the chilli paneer!

Fantastic food and great flavours. Ordered a selection of dishes to share with 2 others. Food arrived fast and each dish had its own flavour and identity. All dishes prepared excellently and tasted incredible. This is just like Indian tapas. I would suggest you order a small plate, large plate and side each.

Very good value and nice venue for a relaxed eating atmosphere. Highly recommend if your in the area.
