A Bristol stalwart for more than 17 years, Fishers combines quality seafood with charming neighbourhood vibes.

Located in leafy Clifton Village, a beautiful Georgian shopping quarter, its cosy interiors combine nautical tablecloths with wooden panelling painted blue. It has all the intimacy of a much loved local’s spot due to the delicious seafood on offer and the friendly, attentive and welcoming service.

Their seafood and shellfish is sourced daily from the South Coast, and arrives from sea to plate within just a few hours. Choose from hot shellfish platters, fish and chips, whole roast seabass, skate wing, and their famous Scottish salmon fishcakes. More than 90% of the menu is gluten-free and there are plenty of veggie and vegan options too.

Net yourself Asian-inspired cod with pickled cucumber and fragrant rice pilaf, or remain firmly in the West Country with Cornish catch of the day, asparagus and new potatoes with lashings of butter.

The drinks list really does have something for everyone. There is an impressive selection of fine white wines, as well as craft gins, cocktails, digestifs, ales and quality proseccos to add a little sparkle to your meal.

It's located an easy stroll from Brunel’s suspension bridge and Royal York Crescent, but with food this good Fishers is a destination in itself.

Really enjoyed our dining experience at Fishers restaurant.

Although our booking wasn't found on their system, their server was very accommodating.

The menu is a seafood lovers dream yet almost a nightmare in terms of making a decision so I was happy to rely on the server's knowledge and guidance.

Overall a lovely establishment, delicious food and friendly service. Couldn't have asked for more!

When we arrived we were promptly seated and we got our food and drinks taken swiftly. The food was delicious and how everything was handled was brilliant. The food was faultless and it was absolutely delicious where we ordered the platter and had all the additional extras included with it. I would go again and use this again in the future.

Food was delicious and the serving size was perfect. It was nice suprise to have some small brewery ginger beer since you don't often get good alcohol free drinks.
Service was very good and the restaurant looked really cosy. We will come back again.

Food was good and fresh. It’s a shame they didn’t have lobster on the day we visited as they change menu daily depending on what they e caught. Service is ok nothing to complain about but nothing special either. But definitely a good value with first table offer. Will go again as I love seafood!

Had an incredible meal here on a Tuesday evening with my mum and dad. Each had a starter (whitebait and two boillabaisse) absolutely amazing. Then for main we got the fish platter (so many mussels and prawns with a beautiful creamy sauce) and my dad opted for the pollock fish and chips which he raved over. The Pinot Grigio was lovely and reasonably priced. Didn’t get pudding as not enough time but will 100% be back, loved it.

What a fantastic restaurant. Not often you like everything on the menu, I found it hard to choose. My Mum is very fussy and always has a bad meal when we're out. She loved every course. Our waiter was so sweet. We had 2 kids with us making such a mess, he was very kind and refused our help to clean up. Top marks all round. The scallops were amazing, so was the cod and the Lemon posset was to die for. 10/10! We'll be back soon.

The service and atmosphere in the restaurant was just lovely. The team couldnt have done anymore to make the dining experience any better. They completely accommodated the fact that we had a gluten free requirement, it was no bother to them. Would highly recommend the mussels with chorizo! Just amazing!! Thanks you fishers!

The restaurant sits in posh part of Bristol, Clifton. It’s a quite small restaurant with more seating upstairs. The tables are all very small. There are 4 girls in our party and we sat at a square table with 4 ends. So when the food arrived, we were all very squashed. The young female waitress who took our order appeared to be very inexperienced. She seems very nervous when answering questions about what comes with each main course and she kept flipping pens on the floor or dropping knife on the floor, not very professional service I’d say. We ordered 5 main courses between 4 of us: 2 lobsters, 1 hot shellfish platter and 1 seafood paella. It took very long time for the food to arrive at the same time, at least half an hour. The food are all piping hot and smells great. They taste fresh. However they are all very small portions. The lobsters are very skinny and didn’t taste as nice as my last visit which was few years ago. All food are fresh and taste good, but didn’t give me the wow factor and I wouldn’t pay full price for them. When we asked for the bill, the male waiter didn’t apply the discount so we asked for second bill. Luckily I checked the bill and found out the discount is less than what it should be. I was going to get attention for the third bill but the waiter got an idea what we were after and brought over the final bill with the correct amount. Overall, it’s a nice experience but not worth paying full value for based on the food and service.

Some of the finest seafood I've had, I would recommend the hot seafood platter. Good times.

The food was delightful. I had scallops for starters and cod for mains, which were both beautifully cooked. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is I feel perhaps the dishes lacked a little creativity but otherwise they were faultless.
My two companions had desserts (Toffee pudding and rhubarb crumble) which I managed to procure a taste of. These were both exquisite.
Service was fantastic.
Would definitely go again
