The Canopy

Tucked into Seven Dials, Brighton, The Canopy is a neighbourhood haven where great coffee, honest cooking and local flavour meet.

Championing seasonal, thoughtfully sourced produce and the people behind it, they pour Skylark Coffee, stock Beak Brewery and raise glasses from Ridgeview Wine Estate.

Brunch is a gentle headline act, led by the Canopy hash: crisp house hash browns crowned with smoked salmon, sautéed spinach, poached free-range eggs and glossy Hollandaise, or given a fiery nudge with spicy nduja, roast almond romesco and sliced avocado.

Morning favourites span a soft scramble with oak-smoked salmon on toasted sourdough to a full breakfast layered with smoked streaky bacon, Cumberland sausage, mixed wild mushrooms, grilled plum tomato, homemade beans and fried eggs. Sweet tooths are rewarded with the Canopy Biscoff crepe or a fudgy chocolate brownie and vanilla ice cream.
