Delivering modern farmhouse vibes to Harborne, The Plough is exactly where you want to escape the big city for a bit of TLC.

Wholesome and homey throughout, The Plough lives up to its country-esque name with a restaurant that perfectly combines all the characteristics of a country manor with modern design elements. Expect wooden construction that affords it that farmhouse feel, all-natural rustic furniture, cosy corners and open spaces that are approachable and lively. And, like any farmhouse, they have an unbeatable patio. Elegantly sheltered from the sun with a wicker roof, here you can enjoy the brilliant weather at your ease.

The first order of the day is brunch. Embrace the day with nutritious plates like avocado with feta and poached eggs or the breakfast sandwich which houses streaky bacon, potato rosti, a fried egg and siracha mayo. Alternatively, have it the traditional way with a house breakfast! And for those who like to begin their day on a sweet note, tackle a stack of homemade pancakes and wash it down with any of their homemade smoothies. Also, it's never too early to have a mimosa!

Towards the evening, The Plough is hunkering down with classics. From the signature burger with homemade beef patties to battered cod and chips and an immense Lancashire lamb hotpot, this is the very best of British. They also have an enviable pizza menu featuring our favourite classic toppings. For great food all hours of the day with a dash of British countryside thrown in, it has to be The Plough every time.
