Original Patty Men Digbeth

Before humanity, there was the patty. And before the patty, there were The Original Patty Men. An important part of Birmingham's history, this eatery is where the burger was born.

Whether you believe that or not is up to you, but it doesn't take away from the fact that Original Patty Men is a legendary burger destination that every burger-lover has to check out at some point. They started out as a food truck which probably explains their very laid-back approach to dining. In true takeaway form, food is wrapped up in paper and served on trays so as not to hinder your mega-feast.

The Original Patty Men are here to showcase classic burgers in their purest form, so get your hands around a super cheesy beef burger, add some crispy bacon into the mix with the bacon cheeseburger, or be controversial with the pineapple hot sauce in the Pineapple Express Burger.

They're also bringing new creations into the fold. Take the immense Doner burger which is full to the rafters with shaved meat, onions and sauce, and the Alabama Slammer which takes breaded chicken thigh to a whole new level.
