A traveller's culinary dream that spans the sandy plains of Afghanistan, the glittering coastline of Turkey and the action-packed cities of India and Pakistan and Iran, Qavali is a beautiful mixing pot of culinary cultures.

Shimmering, regal and mysterious, Qavali plays with light and shadow to create a fully immersive stage for some of the best Indo-Persian food in Birmingham. Everything here speaks of rich and opulent traditions, starting from the living walls that speak of the lushness of southwestern India, the Persian mosaic lamps that spark memories of stolen nights in Iran and the rich textures that conjure images of traditional dining in the Middle East. A feast for the senses that leave Birmingham on the outside enter Qavali's house of delights.

Of course, the delights have only just begun. Introducing the charcoal grill, which is responsible for the marinated, smoky goodness of Baluchi charcoal chicken, Indo-Persian koobideh, mangal seekh kebab and Lahori lamb chops. More Indo-Persian goodies include the Persian lamb shank that is braised just so that it falls off the bone, saffron seabass with creamy coconut and Kashmiri rogan josh.
Now, off to Hyderabad, where you'll find a whole range of aromatic biryanis just waiting to be demolished, leaving just enough room for a small daal and chilli cheese kulcha on the side.

The exotic East is right here at your fingertips; you can hardly believe that Birmingham is outside those doors.
