In Winchester, Samurai brings Hampshire’s only teppanyaki theatre to life. A spirited dining room hums as blades flash and flames rise, turning dinner into a front-row performance. It’s a place for lively gatherings and special occasions, with the warmth of Japanese hospitality woven through every welcome.

At the grill, chefs sear rib-eye steak, chicken and gleaming seafood hibachi-style, sending up aromatic curls of steam. Rice or noodles are tossed with precision, while vegetables are kissed by the iron plate. The result is clean, smoky flavours and a sense of rhythm that’s as satisfying as the plates themselves.

Beyond the teppan, the sushi counter leans into both tradition and playful fusion. Silken nigiri and pristine sashimi sit alongside the Chef’s Special Roll with panko fried prawns, grilled unagi, avocado and seared salmon, or the Crunchy Prawns Tempura Maki. For sharing, the Sushi Sashimi Moriawase gathers favourites in one elegant sweep.

Comfort runs through donburi rice bowls crowned with chicken, duck or unagi, soothing Japanese curry with chicken katsu or prawns, and slurpy yakisoba. Vegetarians are well catered for with Japanese tofu curry and vegetarian duck teriyaki.

Book your seat by the steel, follow the sizzle, and let Samurai steal the show!
