KOJI

KOJI brings a touch of theatre to Parsons Green, a fun fine dining Japanese concept, balancing elegance with a playful streak and a dash of West End swagger. The setting is decadent and beautiful, the mood lively yet polished, and the kitchen leans into modern Japanese sensibilities with confidence and flair.

The menu favours contrasts: cool, clean sashimi meets a whisper of heat, as in yellowtail with spicy yuzu or tuna with spicy ponzu tucked into crisp tacos. Bright, citrusy notes dance through sea bass and scallop sashimi with lime and chilli, while tuna tataki keeps things taut and savoury. Textures are dialled up, from edamame snapped with sea salt to crispy rice crowned with avocado or tuna, before giving way to kushiyaki skewers glazed, charred and tempting, think chicken yakitori with tare and bavette with oroshi ponzu.

Smoke and fire take centre stage at the robata charcoal grill, where black cod miso turns silky and pork belly meets wasabi mash and spicy miso. The wood-fired oven ups the drama with miso-marinated lamb chops and a whole roasted seabass lifted by ponzu ginger, while classic sushi interludes keep the tempo elegant.
