dinner

Moored on the Regents Canal in Paddington, Darcie and May Green make a splash before you even step aboard.

The bright, beloved boats wear bespoke pop art livery by Sir Peter Blake, a buoyant prelude to weekends of lazy brunches and waterside dinners. On balmy days, the open roof terrace lifts the mood even higher, turning the canal into a stage for long, warm evenings among friends.

The cooking favours bold yet balanced flavours with a roving, globe‑trotting spirit. Tear into clay fired flatbread dusted with pepperberry salt, then swipe through confit garlic hummus crowned with crisp chickpeas. Bites move from buttermilk fried chicken with creamy ranch to tempura cauliflower slicked with hot jalapeno honey, a sweet‑heat whisper that lingers.

House signatures keep things classic yet light, from seared yellowfin tuna with shaved fennel and soft herbs to a Hereford sirloin with spring green salad and house Béarnaise, perhaps with hand-cut fries dusted in kombu salt. Charred spring greens with ginger and sesame add a verdant crunch.

To finish, roasted mango with clotted cream ice cream and local honey sits alongside a nostalgic sticky toffee pudding with Madagascan vanilla gelato.

Step aboard Darcie and May Green for brunch or dinner by the water; make a date, take the canal, and go with the flow.
