Located on Northcote Road in Clapham and named in honour of Henry St John, 1st Viscount Bolingbroke, the brilliant politician and notorious rake who spent the early and final years of his life in nearby Battersea, The Bolingbroke places its emphasis on high quality British food and traditional pub values. While Henry was known for his hard drinking, countless affairs and wild escapades, this Northcote Road public house offers a rather more refined take on the neighbourhood local.

The kitchen works with some of the best small producers across the British Isles, championing quality ingredients and thoughtful cooking. Free range meats feature prominently in the much loved Sunday roasts, fish is sustainably sourced, and vegetarian and vegan dishes are crafted with enough flavour to tempt even the most devoted carnivores. Behind the bar, a strong range of cask ales and lagers keeps things firmly rooted in pub tradition, while the wine list offers well chosen bottles at approachable prices.
