dinner

JOIA brings a vibrant slice of the Iberian coast to South West London, with scenic views across to Battersea Power Station and an elegant, inviting mood. Guided by two-Michelin-starred chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, the kitchen leans into Mediterranean sunshine, blending the bold character of Catalonia with the soulful comfort of Portugal, all while championing fine Iberian and British produce.

The experience begins with petiscos and tapas that speak in bright, fresh tones: think pan con tomate with silky Ibérico ham, or sea bass ceviche lifted by green gazpacho and a citrus mango gel. Flavours are crisp, clean and confident, balancing simplicity and finesse.

Comfort meets craft in the mains, from the nostalgic pull of bacalhau à Brás to a fillet of beef enriched with bacon chutney, grilled leeks and a bone marrow jus. Sides carry their own swagger - patatas bravas with aioli and salsa brava, and grilled asparagus dressed in romesco and São Jorge cheese - while desserts, like almond and orange cake with orange sorbet or a Basque cheesecake with damson compote, ensure a graceful finale.

For a leisurely lunch or a celebratory dinner, JOIA sets the scene beautifully. Reserve a table and let the Iberian rhythm do the rest, viva la flavour.
