Tucked by Finsbury Park in North London, The Front Room is a relaxed neighbourhood restaurant and café with a warm, easy charm. Its cosy, contemporary space keeps the décor simple and the focus firmly on seasonal cooking, quality ingredients and friendly service, drawing a loyal crowd from morning coffee to evening suppers.

The kitchen leans into modern British and European influences, letting fresh produce and bold flavours do the talking. Brunch hums with the comforting pull of the Full English, while the house Front Room Sandwiches press grilled sourdough with avocado, peppery rocket and a lick of sriracha mayo. As daylight softens, the mood shifts to unfussy, thoughtfully prepared plates that feel both casual and refined.

Drinks are handled with equal care: a crisp Flat White for the caffeine purists, a spirited Bloody Mary for late mornings, and the verdant Verdita for something a touch offbeat. Teas range from Earl Grey to Oolong, fresh juices run from the Classic to the zippy Boost, and even the soft drinks have character, thanks to Karma Kola.

With its welcoming team and community hum, this is the sort of place to linger, catch up and feel at home. Drop in for brunch or settle in after dark; The Front Room is ready when you are—pull up a chair and stay a while.
