It's been serving Camden's quirky crowd authentic tapas for almost forty years, and it shows no sign of going anywhere. Yes, it might only be a stone's throw from the markets of Inverness Street, but you could be mistaken for being in sunny Spain.

That's because it's Spanish to its core. Painted in patriotic red and yellow with walls decked with charming memorabilia and rustic wooden tables giving it a worn chic, Bar Gansa is every bit as homey and welcoming as a bistro in the Mediterranean. Cosy and intimate, everyone is treated as family. If it's a nice day, enjoy your sharing plates alongside a healthy dose of sunshine in their buzzy courtyard. Where eccentric Camden meets the summery sumptuousness of South West Europe, you'll have a sangria by your side in no time at all.

But before we get to the Sangria, how about a bite to eat? Decorate your table with tasty treats like serrano ham croquettes, spiced lamb skewers and chorizo sausages bathed in fruity red wine. For some coastal magic, you couldn't do better than some fried calamari, Galacian octopus or the comforting seafood stew that is as creamy as it is delicious and comforting. Add on some deep-fried aubergine and patatas bravas to make it a feast worth remembering.

And what would a Spanish bistro be without the ray of sunshine that is paella? Specialising in classic paellas that can be customised with meats, seafood and vegetables for your pleasure, everyone can enjoy this culinary cornerstone exactly how they like it. With other individual main courses too, as well as crispy churros and fondants for dessert, let your hair loose, revisit your jug of Sangria and raise your glasses to great food with loved ones. Buen apetito!
