Filling bellies all over London with hot, comforting ramen, Tonkotsu has opened in Stratford.

Overlooking an impressive view of the capital, the Stratford branch is a delightfully Zen hideaway. Its enormous windows, high ceilings and refreshingly minimalist hanging lights afford this restaurant elegance. Their bespoke tree planter that sits amidst the tables is an enchanting addition.

There’s ramen for days! Choose from six types of ramen, like their signature tonkotsu ramen or their vegan soya tantanmen ramen. Then customise it to your taste with an array of add-ons like a seasoned egg, kimchi or pork belly. And if you don’t think that’ll fill you up, have a few pieces of gyoza on standby.

Accompany your Japanese feast with a bottle of the good stuff. Their wine list is short but carefully considered, but if you want the true authentic experience, get some Sake in! Alternatively, keep it cool with a Kirin beer or a cocktail.
