dinner

Zer Middle East Kitchen brings the warmth and generosity of the Middle East to Dalston with the easy confidence of a well-loved neighbourhood spot. It is homely, satisfying and unfussy, the sort of place locals return to week after week.

The menu focuses on vibrant mezze and familiar favourites. Guests can enjoy silky hummus, tangy mast-o musir, golden falafel and crisp calamari. Casual lunches include halloumi and falafel wraps, served with bread, dips and mixed steamed vegetables.

Slow-braised dishes take centre stage on the larger plates. A yielding lamb shank perfumed with spices and a hearty lamb tagine offer comforting, generous flavours. Vegetarians are well looked after with roast aubergine lifted by tahini and sumac, as well as a layered vegetarian moussaka.

Whether settling in for a relaxed supper or popping by for a casual bite, Zer Middle East Kitchen lets bold spices do the talking and the good times roll.
