At 11 Berkeley, Mayfair glamour meets the warmth of the Southern Mediterranean, with a menu made, leisurely dinners and plenty of sharing. It is the sort of place where conversation flows as easily as the olive oil, designed for grazing, lingering and savouring.

Breads arrive warm and fragrant, from grilled focaccia with extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic to Focaccia con Pomate, ripe with tomato and coastal simplicity. From the sea, indulgence beckons: perhaps a pizza crowned with Ossetra caviar, smoked salmon and crème fraîche, or Ossetra caviar itself, properly served with blinis. The cooking favours clarity and comfort, letting fine ingredients do the talking.

From the land, expect generous flavours: wagyu ribeye with roasted vine tomatoes and a whisper of lavender jus, or Welsh lamb chops brightened by sesame, grilled lemon, coriander and mint chutney. Sides keep pace, from dauphinoise potatoes to the house-favourite Berkeley Salad, while beef jus and lavender jus add polished finishing touches. With café, brasserie and lounge settings, plus private dining and even a cigar room, the experience is as versatile as it is stylish, guided by a chic dress code that eschews hoodies and hats. Gather a crowd, share a few plates, and let Mayfair do the rest - go on, take a bite out of the good life.
