It's incredible what a little grape can produce and over at Humble Grape the focus is on family-run, boutique vineyards sustainably producing wine with accompanying delicious plates.
It's not as formal as you might imagine; it's bright and spacious with contemporary decor but there's no escaping that it's a wine bar. Wine cabinets stand resplendent around the dining area, showcasing each gleaming bottle and its delicious contents.
Disclaimer: you don't have to be a wine fanatic to choose this fabulous restaurant. The food menu is bursting with yummy eats made from high-end ingredients. If the pork and fennel meatballs, rabbit rillettes and grilled octopus don't get the tummy rumbling, nothing will. Mains include a perfectly cooked bavette steak, a whole grilled plaice and aubergine and ricotta ravioli.
And with all their dazzling wines available by the bottle, carafe or the glass, the wine bar is your oyster. Sample some of the most celebrated wines around the world and settle in for an evening of sophistication. For those yet to be convinced of wine's innate glory, there are beers and spirits available too.
