For sultry live salsa music and luscious Latino flavours, look no further than this swinging spot in Merchant City.

Boteco Do Brasil was voted the best late night bar in Scotland and global restaurant of the year 2018, and as soon as you open their big Brazilian menu you’ll know why.

Expect market fresh shellfish, succulent BBQ steaks, hearty stews and traditional Boteco food (street snacks) such as coxinha de frango, fluffy potato dough filled with chicken. It’s the closest you’ll come to Brazil without getting on a plane.

Of course, an essential part of any Brazilian celebration is a refreshing cachaça based cocktail and luckily there is a team of expert mixologists on hand. Don’t miss their signature serve, caipirinhas, or opt for a full-bodied red.

Great food and excellent vibes come as standard at Boteco Do Brasil! Check it out now.

This is a great place. When we arrived we were given a table at the front which was very busy and noisy so I asked if there was a quieter area, which there was. This meant we were able to chat while enjoying our food. The menu is great with a wide variett. I really enjoyed the food which tasted amazing. The staff were friendly without being over the top. I’d definitely go back again.

This is our second First Table experience and it won’t be the last.
We arrived at The Boteco do Brasil cold and soaked through. However; the warm and friendly atmosphere in the Boteco soon started to work its magic. We were shown to our reserved table by a charming server. Our order was quickly taken, having looked at the menu at home we’d already decided we were going to have a selection of tapas.
Soon the table was covered with a selection of small plates. The food, perhaps eight tapas was rather a lot, soon arrived and it was a selection of delicious morsels. Our only experience of Brazilian food was fejoida, having tapas was a delicious way of sampling a wider variety of food.
Next time we go to The Boteco do Brasil I’ll probably go for the sizzling steak dish, as the strips of beef was my favourite tapas.
The staff were friendly and helpful with out being intrusive, the service was also very efficient. We were shown to our table quickly, order taken and food appeared promptly.
All in all a great experience and we went home smiling smugly at having paid under £25 pounds for eight tapas and two desserts.

This was my first visit to Boteco Do Brasil. This restaurant is new to First Table and the girls had to phone the manager to confirm the deal.
They were lovely, prompt and attentive.
My friend and I got 2 tapas as starters, parcel filled with prawns and guacamole dip, and riced filled peppers. Both were very nice.
Mains coconut chicken and rice, particularly tasty and sizzling beef strips with chips, lovely.
It had nice quiet atmosphere for a Thursday evening and didn't rush us at all. Overall a nice evening.
