Cuisine: A La Carte, Pizza
Price Point: Mains from £10-£25

Serving pizzas, popular classics and a chilled atmosphere, Ollie’s is your next hangout.

Its playful interior which basks in natural light makes Ollie’s a #goodvibesonly place to meet up with friends. White kitchen tiles, neutral grey walls and café-esque tables make it informal and fun. Also, the balcony overlooking the restaurant is like something out of a Mediterranean villa!

Less is more and with four pizzas on offer, you can guarantee it’ll be top quality. As well as pizzas, get your napkin ready for Ollie’s beef burger or stay sophisticated with their tender fillet of cod with dill mash. Vegetarian options include gnocchi, bursting with fresh ingredients or an oozing butternut squash and goats cheese parcel.

Keep it chilled with an ice cold Peroni or Pilsner or go for one of their many wines on offer. And there’s nothing like their menu of classic cocktails with an Ollie’s twist (Nutty Espresso anyone?) to get the evening off to a great start.

I wasn’t expecting such a warm, cosy and romantic setting....but I was there with my daughter for a lovely mother, daughter catch up and it was perfect for that too! The servers are very efficient and friendly and the menu is short but covers a wide range of tastes. Helpings are very generous and the choices we made were all very well executed and presented. We shared a smoked haddock risotto with a perfectly poached egg to start. Then, a confit of duck and a monkfish curry, which were both very good. The fish could have been hotter but the sauce was delicate and the fish tender. The duck was also well received. Star of the show was the chocolate brownie. It was slightly less gooey than I like but accompanied by a warm chocolate sauce and a scoop of ice cream, it looked and tasted delicious. We shared it too. So, it was more of a fine dining experience than usual but with 50% off the bill it was a comparable price.
